Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 I am not being able to add apps to existing folders

SIT1997 Every time I drag any app to add to a folder it just overlaps with the folder and doesn't actually add with the folder. Even when I tried creating new folders by dragging one onto other they just overlap with each other but don't create any folder. I even dragged one app out from my folder but now it just won't go back to it . The app just overlays anywhere I drop it.

Normally creating folders should not be a problem at all, so I guess it's a system error.
However, I have to ask you if you are using a different launcher, for example?
