Blackview BV9600 Pro Smartlock kills any music app. Will throwing phone fix it?

mangosan Phone was fine for a few hours after I bought it then a notification asked me to o confirm something to do with hand detection & phone being always on when it detects your hands now I can't switch it off, music stops after screen lock and screen on leads to inadvertent clicking even when putting in and out of pocket. Update is so frustrating! Tried everything to change it; all online threads report similar failure.

Hello mangosan. If I understand it correctly, you're addressing two different issues.
The music will stop because the battery optimization will be enabled for the corresponding app. Follow this step to disable the optimization:
Android 10 | EMUI 10.0
- Open the settings
- Tap on Apps
- Tap on Apps
- Open the menu
- Tap on Special access
- Tap on Battery optimization
- Choose an app
- Choose a setting and tap on OK
Because of turning on the screen:
- Open the settings
- Tap on display
- Tap on Extended
- Tap on lock screen display
- Tap on Hold your phone to view the display
- Enable or disable the function
