How do I stop the sound when using keystrokes?

Hello Lynwil!

Please go to the keyboard settings, if you use Gboard you will find the option under Preferences.

Greetings!

Could you be a bit more specific please.  I'm of the older generation and don't find these things easy.  A step by step would be really useful.  Thanks in advance.

Hello, Lynwil. Does this help?

  1. Open the Settings
  2. Tap on System
  3. Tap on Languages & Input
  4. Tap on Visual keyboard
  5. Tap on Gboard
  6. Tap on Preferences
  7. Enable or disable Sound on keypress

Sorry, I am OK to point 3 but then I don't have what you are asking for.  Iget the fol, lowing:

Virtual keyboard

Physical keyboard

Advanced.

Virtual keyboard gives me

Manage keyboard which gives me

Google voice typing

TalkBack braille keyboard

Physical keyboard gives me

Show virtual keyboard

Keyboard shortcuts helper

None of these give me any way of deleting the sound.

Hello Lynwil!

Normally you should be able to find "Gboard" in the settings, since you can use the keyboard.

We don't know if this is a system error, you could try to download and install Gboard from the Play Store.

Please check the "Manage keyboards" menu again and activate Gboard if necessary.

You should then be able to access the Gboard settings to disable the sounds.

We are waiting for your feedback.

Below you will find instructions on how to install an App/Gboard.

Greetings!

Guess I'm just too old for all this, I'll just give up but thanks for your time.
