i changed my password to access my phone from four numbers to a password of letters. now my phone opening screen is of a telephone keypad with numbers and letters underneath. when i try to type in my new password it is coming up as numbers and i am now left with only one attempt to get into my phone before it needs to be taken to a shop to sort it.

Hello Flimbo,
seems like your phone messed up a bit. The only thing you could do is searching for a micro usb to usb adapter to use your computer keyboard with your phone. After connecting the keyboard to your device, you can type in the password.
The other option would be to wipe your device and do a factory reset, this would delete all your data you stored on the intern storage, but, it will take away the password barrier.
